Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai cast: Who’s in the Max series?

For those who loved the Gremlins movies that premiere in the ‘80s, the franchise is getting the computer-animated series treatment thanks to MAX. While there was a world premiere for the series in 2022, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai will be available in May 2023. Who is in the Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai cast?

The prequel series is set to take place back in the 1920s. The Wing family, who lives in Shanghai, are first introduced to a Mogwai named Gizmo, who is the focus of the 1984 and 1990 Gremlins films.

Fans of the movie may recall Sam Wing, who was shop owner at the time of the first film’s debut. In the series, he takes on the responsibility of traveling with Gizmo to take him back home.

During the journey, they meet a street thief named Elle and they must battle “colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore.” They also must tackle a pursuit by an industrialist who has his own army of Gremlins.

Amblin Television serves as producer of the series in association with Warner Bros. Animation. Well known director Steven Spielberg has executive producer credits alongside Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, and Sam Register. The show is run by Tze Chun.

Who is among the Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai cast?

Since the series is computer-animated, we will hear voice actors in the role. There will also be a guest appearance by Zach Galligan, who played Billy Peltzer in the films and was the new owner of Gizmo himself. Other guest voice actors will include Randall Park, Bowen Yang, Sandra Oh, and George Takei.
