Is a new episode of All American on The CW tonight? (May 22, 2023)

Mondays are supposed to be all about All American on The CW. Is there a new episode of the series tonight, Monday, May 22? When will the show return?

Monday nights are usually all about the sports drama. There has certainly been a lot of tears and drama this year as the characters deal with growing up, managing new friendships, and losing those close to them. As viewers, we were shocked to lose Billy Baker, although it has led to some excellent development for other characters.

There is some bad news for those looking for a new episode of the series tonight. There is not a new episode of All American on. We don’t even get a rerun of the series. The CW is into its summer programming now.

When will All American return to The CW with new episodes?

The previous episode was the Season 5 finale. That means we’re going quite some time without new episodes. At least we will get new episodes.

While Nexstar has opted to cancel a lot of the original programming on The CW, it kept All American. That was due to the deal when Nexstar took over. This series was the only one guaranteed to get a new season.

So, we’re looking at it returning soon. The problem is a date can’t be set just yet. All eyes are on the WGA writers strike. Should that keep going, the show’s production is going to be pushed back and that will mean everything else is pushed back. We probably won’t have to wait too long into the fall and certainly not into the midseason, but it’s going to be a wait for the series.

At least there isn’t too long to be able to watch all episodes of the fifth season. All American Season 5 will come to Netflix in full tomorrow, May 23.
