Creator Graham Yost has brought to life a complex and captivating story with television series Silo on Apple TV+! As of this writing on June 9, the full season hasn’t been released yet. But we’re already wondering if there could be more or if the show is a limited series.

The television production stars Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette, Harriet Walter as Martha Walker, Rashida Jones as Allison, Chinaza Uche as Paul Billings, Avi Nash as Lukas Kyle, David Oyelowo as Holston, and Tim Robbins as Bernard.

The sci-fi dystopian drama is an interesting one as the last 10,000 people on earth are all living in an underground building, aka Silo. The residents are told it’s for their safety due to the toxic air outside, but is that really the truth? There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the underground building, and Juliette is going to be the one to find the answers. But the more she digs, the more dangerous she’s in.

So how much story is there to tell with the series? Could we expect more to come? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Is Silo a limited series on Apple TV+?

* UPDATE 06/14/23 – Silo has been renewed for a second season at Apple TV+!

When a show is billed a limited series, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s only going to be one season. Most go for two seasons, sometimes three. At this time, we don’t know if Silo is a limited series. However, Apple TV+ never billed it that way in the press releases shared by the streamer. Plus, the dystopian world has a lot of book material to work with.

The show is based on a series of books written by author Hugh Howey. There’s the three main novels, Wool, Shift, and Dust, as well as three short stories and a graphic novel. When the streaming service announced its development of the books, Apple TV+ said the project is “based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels.” Now whether that means all of season 1 contains what happens in all three books or there’s more to come in the television adaptation remains to be seen. We’ll find out soon enough when the finale debuts June 30, 2023.
