The wait for new episodes of Hallmark Channel’s longest-running drama is nearly over as When Calls the Heart season 10 is just weeks away from premiering!

After nearly a decade on Hallmark, When Calls the Heart remains the network’s top-rated series and it’s no surprise that fans have been counting down the days until the new season which promises to bring about a wave of exciting new developments for all of our favorite Hope Valley residents.

When Calls the Heart season 9 ending explained

Ahead of the new season of When Calls the Heart, there are a few things fans will want to remember about the previous season of the show. While there were many developments across season 9, here are the three biggest plot developments that unfolded in the season culminating in the season 9 finale:

  1. Lucas Proposed to Elizabeth: Season 9 saw Lucas and Elizabeth’s relationship continue to blossom as the pair grew closer across the season. It all led up to Lucas proposing to Elizabeth and Elizabeth saying yes, meaning wedding bells could soon be ringing for the pair.
  2. Rosemary is Pregnant: After years of trying to conceive and wishing to be a mother, Rosemary’s dreams of being a mom will soon come true as we learned that Rosemary is pregnant with her first child!
  3. Henry Goes to Jail: After confessing to being the one responsible for making the mine collapse as a way to prevent them from reopening, Henry was sent to jail leaving his future uncertain.

When Calls the Heart season 10 premiere date

When Calls the Heart will return for its tenth season on Sunday, July 30 at 9/8c on Hallmark Channel. The show’s return is a welcome one for fans as there was no holiday special to help bridge the gap between seasons 9 and 10, making the break between seasons feel that much longer.

Is Martin Cummins leaving When Calls the Heart?

If you’re hoping to see more of Henry Gowen in season 10 of When Calls the Heart, you’re in luck! While Hallmark has not officially confirmed Martin Cummins’ status for the upcoming tenth season, we do get a glimpse of Henry in the season 10 trailer which hints that Henry is not going anywhere and will remain part of the show’s cast in season 10.

Given that Henry was arrested and sent to jail in season 9, Henry might have a more limited role in season 10; however, fans can rest at ease in knowing Henry is going to appear in some capacity in the new season and that Martin Cummins has not left the show!

How many episodes is When Calls the Heart season 10?

Like the show’s most recent seasons, the upcoming tenth season of When Calls the Heart will consist of 12 new episodes. Should Hallmark air the episodes weekly as in past seasons without any special 2-episode events, that means fans can look forward to new episodes of When Calls the Heart airing from July 30 through October 15.

Where is When Calls the Heart streaming?

If you’re hoping to rewatch past seasons of When Calls the Heart before the show returns for season 10, you can find all nine previous seasons of the show on Hallmark Movies Now. You can also stream the show’s three most recent seasons on Peacock, which is home to When Calls the Heart seasons 7-9.

Is season 10 the last season of When Calls the Heart?

Nope, When Calls the Heart season 10 will not be the final season of Hallmark’s hit series! Hallmark Channel has already renewed the show for an eleventh season which is expected to air in 2024, meaning the upcoming tenth season is not the show’s final season!
