Napoleon movie release date, cast, synopsis and everything to know

The amazingly talented Joaquin Phoenix will hit the big screen later this year with the Ridley Scott-directed movie, Napoleon. Will this be an exclusive theater release or is the big feature headed straight to streaming? Who else is in the cast? We share all the details with you so you don’t miss out!

Napoleon is directed and produced by Ridley Scott (House of Gucci, The Last Duel), and is written by David Scarpa. With a release date in late 2023, we do still have a few months before we can watch this movie, but it is never too early to learn more about it or be prepared. What is the movie Napoleon about?

Just as the title spoils, Napoleon focuses on the French leader’s rise to power. The movie will also heavily focus on the wild and toxic relationship between the French leader and Empress Josephine.

Napoleon release date

The historical-drama will premiere in theaters on Nov. 22, 2023, just in time for Thanksgiving. So we may still have a few months to go until it drops, but we’re super excited about it. Keep this page bookmarked as we’ll be updating you all with new updates as they surface.

Is Napoleon going to be on streaming?

Max is the first streamer that comes to mind when I think about big feature films, but Max won’t be getting this movie. The movie will be released by Sony Pictures Releasing. After it’s out on the big screen, the movie will be available to stream on the Apple TV+ platform. We don’t have the date for when the movie will stream, so we’ll keep you posted on this.
