How many seasons of The Chosen are there?
As of 2023, there have been three seasons of The Chosen released. The first season arrived in 2019; season 2 dropped in 2021; and season 3 began in late 2023 and ran through early 2023. Additional seasons have already been ordered with The Chosen season 4 expected to be released sometime in 2024.
How many seasons of The Chosen are there going to be?
While there is a chance the creative team could change its plan, the current plan is for The Chosen to run for seven seasons in total. The creative team has laid out a plan to tell the story of Jesus’s life across seven seasons, with a carefully mapped out plan to help with the pacing of the show’s seasons.
Plot details have not yet been confirmed for seasons 4-7, the series is expected to continue to tell the stories from the Gospels in chronological order. According to Angel Studios, the upcoming seasons are expected to focus on several key events in the life of Jesus including his return to Jerusalem, Judas’ betrayal, the crucifixion, and Jesus’s resurrection.
