Big Brother 2023: Do you have to watch all seasons to understand Big Brother 25?

Big Brother 25 premieres on Wednesday, Aug. 2, on CBS and the Paramount+ streaming service. Will you be watching? The summer is a slow TV season, especially with the strikes going on. That said, there’s no better time to join the Big Brother world than now! But if it’s your first time watching, you may have a question or two, such as, do you need to watch all seasons Big Brother ahead of Big Brother 2023 to understand the CBS reality competition series?

We all know that, when it comes to a franchise, be it series or movie, it’s best to start from the beginning. There are a few universes you are able to join by only watching the essentials. And during such a busy time, all you may have time for are the essentials.

Now, there are 24 seasons of Big Brother available to stream on Paramount+. Even if you had a couple of months to watch all of these episodes, Big Brother 25 is out tonight! Luckily, you can jump right in to the house of BB.

No! There is no need to start from season 1. Still, the show is a lot of fun and there is never a dull moment. If you ever find yourself with a free week, I’d give a season or two a watch.

Never seen an episode of Big Brother? No worries! Not only is a different cast of Houseguests featured in each season, but the rules and how it all works is explained to viewers at the start. Though they may be some callbacks and references to past seasons, it’s never anything that will throw you off. Host Julie Chen does a wonderful job welcoming back loyal fans and introducing the game to new viewers.
