Nancy Drew season 4: Who is Vince Prokop? (Nancy Drew dedication explained)
By Cody Schultz
Nancy Drew fans were left with a mystery of their own to solve after the August 2 broadcast of season 4, episode 10, “The Ballad of Lives Forgone.” While most episodes end with the typical end credits for the show, episode 10 ended on a more somber note with a touching tribute to Vince Prokop.
“Your kindness, generosity, humor, and love will be greatly missed,” read the tribute message which aired at the end of the episode. The message was designed to celebrate a member of the Nancy Drew team who sadly passed away, with the “In Memory” card designed to honor his legacy and the impact he had on the show.
If the name does not immediately ring a bell, this is likely because Prokop was not a member of the cast, but rather worked behind the scenes to help create the show we all know and love.
Nancy Drew Vince Prokop in memoriam explained
Vince Prokop was a member of the Art Department on Nancy Drew and is credited for working on 40 episodes of the show as a paint coordinator. The show is one of the many shows and movies Prokop worked on during his career with credits on titles including Siren, Van Helsing, The Order, When Calls the Heart, and Cedar Cove.
Sadly, Prokop passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2022. As a GoFundMe page set up in his honor noted, Prokop is survived by his wife, Catherine, and his children, Maya and Miguel.
"“Vince was generous to a fault, and in honor of his memory, let’s all donate as much as possible to help Vince’s family with the expenses of this tragedy,”"

The dedication to Prokop at the end of “The Ballad of Lives Forgone,” was designed to pay tribute to the late art department member who helped bring the show to life with his contributions behind the scenes.
On behalf of the Hidden Remote community, our condolences go out to the Nancy Drew community and Prokops family and friends.
