How many episodes are in The Chi season 6?

The Chi on Showtime is a drama series you need to have on your radar as it is not talked about enough! Season 6 premieres on Sunday, Aug. 6, but trust me, if you have never watched the series, it is worth catching up! And for all fans who are already fans and can’t wait for season 6 to drop, here’s how many episodes we are in for.

Created by Lena Waithe, Showtime‘s The Chi follows the lives of Emmett, Brandon, Ronnie, and Kevin, whose paths unexpectedly cross on the struggling community on the Southside of Chicago. The series stars Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Rolando Boyce, and others.

Season 5 concluded almost one year ago on Sept. 2022, so season 6 is coming to us right on time! How many episodes are we getting this upcoming season? If you recall, The Chi seasons 1-5 have all featured 10 episodes each. Well, The Chi is doing things a little differently for season 6.

How many episodes are in The Chi season 6?

Showtime is bumping up the number of episodes! Instead of 10 episodes, The Chi season 6 will feature 16 episodes. However, these will be split into two parts, each part consisting of eight episodes.

When do new episodes of The Chi season 6 come out?

The upcoming season will debut on Showtime on Sunday, Aug. 6, at 9 p.m. ET. However, the episode will be available On Demand this Friday, Aug. 4. One new episode will follow weekly each Sunday at the same time (and available On Demand the Friday before) up until the end of Part 1 on Sept. 24.

The release date for Part 2 has not yet been revealed. We’ll keep you posted! In the meantime, here’s The Chi season 6 episode schedule we know so far:

As you can see, we do not know the episode titles to episodes 5-8 just yet. As soon as we learn more details, we will update this post!
