We’re always suckers for shows and movies that are based on true stories. One that debuts soon is Gran Turismo! The film is based on the true story of  Jann Mardenborough and the racing simulation video game series of the same name. Who takes on the lead role and who else stars in the movie?

The production is centered around an unlikely trio of “underdogs” who come together in the racing world, per the synopsis. That includes struggling working-class gamer Jann, “failed” former race car driver Jack, and “idealistic” motorsport executive Danny. The action-packed film tells the story that “nothing is impossible when you’re fueled from within.”

The movie will first have a limited theatrical release on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023. It will then be available to a wider audience on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023 on the big screens. A streaming release date hasn’t been shared yet. But since this is a Sony Pictures production, the project will most likely stream on Netflix since the two companies have a deal.

So who portrays these real-life personalities? Which familiar faces might you see? We’ve got the answer for you below!
