Hard Knocks: Training Camp is back for another season, looking at the build-up for a possible contender in the 2023 NFL season. So when do new episodes air on HBO?

Since 2001, Hard Knocks has been a popular series. It goes behind the scenes of a random NFL team for a season, tracking them through training camp, as they prepare, and giving fans insider access to the players.

The show often looks at a team that has big promise for the season, although it can often turn out to be a team that has a losing season. In 2020, the Indianapolis Colts were the first team to be tracked in-season, and then the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.

This year’s choice is the New York Jets, a team that, historically, has not been the best in the NFL, with scores of losing seasons. The reason for the attention is that the Jets pulled off the stunning off-season move of trading for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The four-time MVP and Super Bowl champion has been regarded as one of the best QBs of his era but has often been stymied in the playoffs with word for years of being unhappy in Green Bay.

With Rodgers now on their side, the Jets have serious playoff hopes, even for a Super Bowl run. However, there are reports the Jets are limiting access to HBO for some stuff amid talk Rodgers isn’t happy being followed by cameras. That just adds to the intrigue around this season.

When does Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the New York Jets air?

Hard Knocks premieres Aug. 8 at 10/9c on HBO. New episodes drop every Tuesday, with the finale on September 5, six days before the Jets kick off their season against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

With a controversial new star player and intrigue on how this builds to a new season for the Jets, this may end up being the highest-rated season of Hard Knocks yet to spark the series even more as football season gets underway.
