Is anyone else getting obsessive vibes from Finn on The Bold and the Beautiful? There’s fighting for your marriage and then there’s the very authoritative way he told Steffy that he wasn’t going to lose her. To be fair, though she isn’t slipping away (yet), he does feel the pressure of the predicament that he’s put them both in, even though he’s yet to fully digest that it’s his fault.

Back at the hospital, he and Ridge continued their talk about why Steffy let the Cliff House and moved into Forrester Mansion. Ridge didn’t entertain Finn’s petulance. While he did understand that Finn’s in a difficult position because Sheila is his birth mother, he is not sympathetic toward the bond he seems to have with her. He wanted Finn to take accountability for what’s happening in his life. Though he listened when Finn said Liam is making a play for Steffy, Ridge didn’t indulge that conversation.

His focus is on how this is all affecting his daughter, Steffy, and he told Finn that if he wants to salvage what’s left of his marriage, he’s going to need to see his part in how all of this went down. The issue isn’t Liam, it’s Finn’s connection to Sheila and how it presents a clear and present danger to his family.

What happened on Bold and the Beautiful today?

In Finn’s mind, Liam is a threat and…he’s not that far off base. At Forrester Mansion, Liam continued his speech to Steffy about his feelings. He feels like he was a fool to let her go, he doesn’t know how he did that, but he does know that if she were to give him another chance, he’d never let her go again. It was a pretty romantic speech and it did look like it affected Steffy as he explained that he had buried his feelings for her because he had moved on with Hope.

It was because of his “Hope goggles” that he wasn’t looking at Steffy like he once did even though he still recognized that she’s the charismatic, smart, beautiful, lively woman that he’d fallen in love with years ago. Liam also reassured Steffy that he wasn’t saying this to her as a knee-jerk reaction to ending his marriage to Hope, he fully means what he’s saying to her. For her part, Steffy reminded Liam that they’re both married even if he is in the process of getting divorced and she is separated from Finn but she didn’t necessarily shoot him down.

By the time Finn came to see her, Steffy had tried to get some work done, but her mind did drift to what Liam had said to her. She put that to the side when her husband walked in so they could hash things out. They, however, didn’t get much further than they had been. The couple acknowledged that they miss each other, and Steffy corrected Finn when he seemed to imply that only he was feeling the pain from their separation.

To Finn’s credit, he did acknowledge that he put them in this place because Steffy doesn’t want him to have anything to do with Sheila and he did. But once again he launched into a spiel about how Liam is manipulating Steffy and trying to poison their marriage. We can all see that while Liam is getting in the middle of their marriage, he’s not manipulating his ex-wife but rather expressing how he feels about her. Finn poisoned the well all on his own, no one else did that. And his shouting about how he’s never going to let Steffy go may not help matters.

Liam’s part in this though led Ridge to pay him a visit. The two agreed that Finn’s bond with Sheila is a liability, and Liam did explain his side of things and why he took the video at the Court House, but it was obvious Ridge was there to see how Liam feels about Steffy. This was our reminder that once upon a time he rooted for Steam. Perhaps he will again if Finn doesn’t get it together.

It’s unclear if this will put him at odds with Brooke considering she’s getting mixed signals from her daughter. The two were working together in the main office at Forrester with Hope taking video of a model in a beautiful gown and Brooke conducting business at the table. But, once they were alone after the model expressed that Hope and Thomas make a great team, the two discussed where Hope’s head is at now that she’s on the path to getting divorced.

She said that she’s focused on herself and her line when directly asked by Brooke where she and Thomas stand. But she still managed to circle the conversation to Liam and what’s going on in Sinn’s marriage. Brooke had to remind Hope that it makes sense that Liam would be concerned, his daughter nearly drowned and her safety is what’s at stake. Hope said she understood that but she feels like this is exactly what she would have been worried about if she and Liam were still together. Steffy separated from her husband which means there’s a window of opportunity that Liam has an option to take if Steffy feels the same.

Brooke worried that Ridge’s talk with Finn could make it difficult for Sinn to reconcile but Hope didn’t think so. She believes Ridge is just being a protective father but it won’t stop the two from potentially reaching some kind of consensus. We’ll have to see but with Ridge paying Liam a visit, he might be picking sides.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
