The streaming wars have been a major topic of discussion for sometime now as more services come into prominence and Netflix’s competition continues to increase. Nine of the platforms with the most name recognition are Apple TV+, Discovery+, Disney+, Hulu, Max, Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock, and Prime Video. But with so many streaming options, consumer’s are having to grapple with whether they can afford the majority of them, if it’s worth it to pay for multiple subscriptions, if they should cut some in order to afford others, or if they should drop down to 2-3 services.

It can be difficult to determine which streamer(s) give you the most bang for your buck especially if you initially signed up to watch an original series and now are wondering how the platform could continue to benefit you now that the show is on hiatus. Not to mention, there’s the desire to justify the hit to your wallet as subscription fees continue to go up.

Just how much quality content do you have access to and is the cost of the service beneficial to your media consuming wants and needs? That’s what Hidden Remote is here to help you with using data provided by Reelgood, a streaming aggregator that’s analyzed the amount of content available on the nine platforms mentioned above, the degree to which its rated, and the number of titles you get per dollar on each service if you’re subscribed to the ad-free plan.

Below, you’ll find graphs providing you with a visual representation of the data. But if you continue to click through this slideshow, we’ll provide you with information specific to each streamer and our verdict on whether it’s worth the price based on what’s on offer to subscribers.
