The Bold and the Beautiful recap (Aug. 16): Steffy tells Liam to leave

I’m sure Sinn shippers rejoiced today when Steffy told Liam to leave on The Bold and the Beautiful. She’d be shutting down the Forrester Mansion for the night, dressed in a beautiful, black nighty when Liam had walked through the door her husband had walked through just hours prior. But, while she was receptive to what Finn had to say before ultimately deciding she wasn’t ready to come home, the same can’t be said for Liam’s advances.

Her ex-husband, and father of her child, had been at Spencer Publications reminiscing until finally he decided that he had to come see her again. Liam said that he’s tired of hiding how he feels about her, rehashing the speech he’d given Steffy earlier about not squandering another chance with her if she chose to give him one.

Liam attempted to seal his vow with a kiss, but this time Steffy didn’t let him be that intimate with her even though the cheek kiss she did allow was pretty charged. During his speech, she’d looked like a deer in the headlights, taking in what he had to say whilst being emotionally struck by it. However, when he went into kiss her, Steffy looked uncomfortable.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful

Steffy’s discomfort could have stemmed from the fact that Finn had already been by the mansion to make his case for coming home. He’d come in from some time at the beach back at the Cliff House and once more was unsettled by how quiet his home was without his family. Finn decided he was going to try again to bring Steffy and the kids back to where he feels they belong, with him.

He didn’t convince Steffy but her resolve did seem to be crumbling. Finn brought her Mikey the lion, a stuffed animal that she had been looking high and low for. They chuckled over it and then Finn promised once more that he can keep his family safe and that he’s had no contact with Sheila. Steffy told him that she wants to believe him, but she can’t think beyond the fear of Sheila striking again. The two kissed, but she didn’t budge on her position, which meant Finn was going to be spending yet another night alone.

Liam’s visit on top of his was simply two much for her to deal with considering everything that’s happened. While he said that he wants to respect that she’s married and that he doesn’t want to get in the middle of her marriage, that’s exactly what he’s doing every time he pushes about his feelings. Steffy telling him to leave was what needed to happen. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t confused her with his attention and his declarations, that’s very clear. Liam left but just like Finn said that he’s not going anywhere, it’s obvious that Liam holds the same sentiment.

Meanwhile, at Forrester Creations, Brooke and Ridge discussed their wedding. Ridge showed Brooke the dress designs he’d come up with for her dress and, though she appreciated them and thought they were beautiful, Brooke didn’t choose any of them. She let him know that she has her own vision for what she wants for her wedding. I can’t wait to see what that is.
