FBI: International Season 3 strike delays, updates and more

FBI: International ended Season 2 in a huge cliffhanger. Sadly for fans, that wait for a conclusion has grown longer due to various circumstances. So when can Season 3 finally premiere, and who will be in it? Find out!

Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for the FBI: International Season 2 finale. 

What happened in the FBI: International season 2 finale?

The Season 2 finale had the Fly Team tracking a stolen nuclear weapon. It led to a Russian gang hoping to sell it on the black market, with the team leveraging an informant to get them. They captured the leader, but he hinted this wasn’t over.

Raines was outside the team headquarters with Tank when he saw something suspicious. He called the team to get out of the building, but it was too late as an explosion blew it apart. The season ended with a mildly wounded Raines and Tank staring at the ruined headquarters.

That was a huge cliffhanger, but when can fans see how it turns out?

Is FBI: International getting a season 3?

Fans didn’t have to worry about FBI: International getting a third season, as the show got a two-season pickup before its first year was finished in 2022. Thus, fans are assured a third season.

When will FBI: International season 3 premiere?

Sadly, like all network shows, FBI: International is in limbo thanks to the ongoing strikes hitting Hollywood. Originally, CBS had planned for it to premiere in September, but it soon became obvious the WGA strike was going to extend longer, and that was before the SAG strike began.

Thus, even if the strikes were to end soon, the earliest FBI: International could begin filming would be in October. The fact it’s filmed overseas complicates matters a bit more, as CBS clearly wants the show to come back, but the strike is a major obstacle.

Who stars in FBI: International season 3?

So far, there’s no word of any big cast changes, although there are worries one team member may not survive the explosion. A likely candidate is Damien Powell, who just joined the team. CBS has yet to confirm anyone exiting or any new cast members, so at the moment, the cast looks to be the same as Season 2.

So while fans are hopeful the strikes will be settled soon and the Fly Team gets back on the case, it’s still a wait until FBI: International Season 3 premieres.
