Invasion season 2 cast: Which characters are back? Who’s new?

Fans have been highly anticipating the Invasion season 2 premiere on Apple TV+. And who can blame us? Not only has it been almost two years since the first season dropped, but the season 1 finale left viewers hanging with a massive cliffhanger!

Invasion follows an alien invasion told through the point of view of four key characters, some of which, collided in the first season. We have:

• Aneesha (Golshifteh Farahani), a tough mom doing everything she can to keep her children safe.
• Trevante (Shamier Anderson), a former military soldier who is haunted by his past and struggling to understand what is happening around him.
• Mitsuki (Shioli Kutsuna), a communications specialist and former Japanese space agency employee.
• Caspar (Billy Barratt), a young teen who has the ability to connect with the aliens.

Season 1 strongly focused on the above characters, but will they all be back in season 2? Here’s what we know.

Invasion season 2 cast: Who’s back? Who’s new?

Fans who were hoping to continue following Aneesha, Travante, Mitsuki, and Caspar will be happy to learn that all four are returning. Viewers will catch up with all four and get to see what they have been up to since we last saw them.

Invasion season 2 picks up a few months after the events from the finale. However, you’ll notice that Caspar and his friends look about two year older, but that’s because there was a large gap between filming.

Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Aug. 23, only on Apple TV+. The season it will answer many of our questions from the first season. At the same time, new mysteries and characters will be introduced.
