Sinn fans rejoiced today when Steffy went home to the Cliff House. The Bold and the Beautiful episode opened with her and Eric having a cute moment of symmetry as they read their newspapers and moved exactly in sync much to Ridge’s amusement when he walked in on them. But after he made himself known, the conversation switched to a more serious tone when Steffy informed her father and grandfather that she’d be going home.

Both men were surprised but Ridge was more irate with his daughter’s decision. He asked her what had changed about the situation she found herself in with Finn and Sheila, and she had to admit that nothing had but she wanted to trust her husband. Finn told her that he wouldn’t let anything happen to her or their kids, and that Sheila was out of their lives for good. There has been no action behind those words, but she believes his conviction.

Plus, Steffy misses him, her home, and their family together as a unit. As much as she’s loved spending time with Eric and the kids have enjoyed all their adventures and activities at the family mansion, she thinks she’s been gone long enough. Ridge wasn’t pleased and is concerned about her safety, but there was no moving Steffy on the issue.

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful today?

Ridge expressed his frustration to Eric, but his father noted that Steffy is much like her own father–stubborn. And they both agreed that Ridge gets that trait from Stephanie, his mother. He lamented her absence as did Eric. They believe that if Stephanie were still alive, Sheila would have been left town and wouldn’t be a threat to their family because she would have ensured it. Instead, they must contend with the dangerous woman on their own.

Meanwhile, Finn once again paid Liam a visit at Spencer Publications. Liam, however, established boundaries early on in their conversation, stating that Finn can’t just come down to his office to hash it out with him and “put him on notice” especially when his focus should be on getting Sheila to leave town. Liam said that Finn needs to take action and keep his family safe because that is his job and he’s spent more time confronting him than making good on his word and making sure Sheila isn’t a clear and present threat to his family.

Finn seemed to take in that piece of advice but told Liam that just because he and Hope’s marriage isn’t working out, that doesn’t mean he gets to make a pass at Steffy. Liam’s facial reaction conveyed that that was a fair enough assessment, though we all know that’s not going to keep him from letting Steffy know that he’s an option. That’s what’s got Finn’s feathers understandably ruffled since it is audacious and Liam has broken Steffy’s heart more than once, a point that he did bring up to emphasize that he’d never put her through what Liam has.

Their conversation came to a close when Finn’s phone dinged, it was a text message from Steffy asking him to come to the Cliff House. He hurried home and did some half-done tidying that saw us bearing witness to him picking up clothing and empty takeout containers and putting them in the sink only to cover them with a cutting board.

Steffy was none the wiser when she walked into the house, saying it looked nice. The small talk didn’t last long though when she let him know that she was coming home (the kids will be coming later as they are still at the mansion). Finn was overcome with emotion as was Steffy as they got swept up in a romantic kiss. This moment of bliss between them, however, likely won’t last long.

In the episode, Sheila was speaking to Deacon on how she wasn’t going to give up on her son. Their conversation started off pleasant enough as she attempted to give him a massage to get him to relax, but the tension he’s carrying has a lot to do with her. Deacon cares about her and doesn’t want to see her hurt because she can’t let go of the dream of being in Finn’s life.

Sheila said she loved him for that but that she can see that Finn does want to get to know her. She believes it has to do with their mother-son bond and how he’s yearned for that connection with his biological mother. That’s something that’s not going to go away and she intends on making sure they can be together, in fact, she’s going to execute what she wants today. Obviously, that can’t be good for anyone who dares get in her way.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
