Bosch: Legacy season 2 release date

The date has been set, Hieronymus-heads! The second season of the Bosch: Legacy will drop and begin streaming on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023 (only in the US, UK, and Germany)! However, the entire season will not be dropping before Halloween. Talk about a trick or treat.

The finale will be available to stream on Nov. 10, 2023.

Bosch: Legacy will have a four episode premiere and then stream two additional episodes every Friday until the season finale.

What is Bosch: Legacy season 2 about?

The shooting of the sophomore season has wrapped and is finalizing post-production. We do know that the second season is loosely based on the 18th book in the Michael Connelly Harry Bosch series, The Crossing.

There is no official synopsis, but one thing is clear, Harry Bosch is not going to let anyone kidnap his daughter without walking with a limp for the rest of their lives. Presumably, the kidnapping will be resolved relatively quickly.

Of course, Harry will continue to investigate the men and women hunting Harry’s family and friends (including Honey Chandler). The synopsis for the novel The Crossing is as follows:

"Detective Harry Bosch has retired from the LAPD, but his half-brother, defense attorney Mickey Haller, needs his help. The murder rap against his client seems ironclad, but Mickey is sure it’s a setup. Though it goes against all his instincts, Bosch takes the case. With the secret help of his former LAPD partner Lucia Soto, he turns the investigation inside the police department. But as Bosch gets closer to discovering the truth, he makes himself a target."

Will Mickey Haller be in Bosch: Legacy season 2?

There’s little doubt that Mickey Haller will not be appearing in the second season of Bosch: Legacy. That character is licensed exclusively for Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, which is why Harry Bosch doesn’t appear on the Netflix hit as well.
