Tensions were high today on The Bold and the Beautiful after Finn went to go check whether Sheila really was lurking outside of the Cliff House. He was quite upset to find his birth mother outside of his home, especially since she’d alarmed Steffy when she’d just made the decision to come back to him.

Sheila told her son that she came by because she misses him. Finn didn’t want to hear it. Steffy called out to him, scared that he might be in danger, but he assured her that he “had” Sheila. Then he grabbed his mother’s wrist and pulled her into the house which wasn’t what Steffy was expecting. He said they were going to settle this once and for all but the conversation went the way it has been for awhile now.

Steffy was adamant that Sheila doesn’t have a right to call Finn her son and she refuses to acknowledge her as family. Her nemesis countered that regardless of how anyone feels about it, she and Finn are blood and they share a connection. She knows how he’s yearned to know her because he told her that when they were reunited the first time at his and Steffy’s wedding.

Sheila went on a whole spiel about how she was Finn’s first love and they shared so many firsts together because she gave birth to him. Steffy couldn’t stomach it, she wanted Finn to tell her that he didn’t want anything to do with her and to leave him alone, but the episode ended before he got a word in.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Meanwhile, at Spencer Publications, Ridge and Liam were continuing their talk about Steffy’s choice to go home. Ridge reminded Liam that he didn’t have to explain to him what’s at stake, they both love Steffy. He’s very aware that his family isn’t safe while Sheila’s still a free woman. But he also shared a memory with him in the hopes that he could bring some much needed perspective to Liam.

Liam is aware how Steffy broke her arm as a child, but he’d never been told the full story. Ridge said they’d been on vacation in Greece. His children–Steffy, Thomas, and Phoebe–had been outside when he noticed Steffy moving closer to the edge where there’s a steep drop off. He went out to warn her not to get too close to the edge, but she said she was going to prove to him and her siblings that she could fly.

The more Ridge tried to deter her and get her to come back to where it was safe, the closer she moved to the edge until finally she looked him square in the eye and then jumped off. She broke her arm and Ridge learned two things that day. One, Steffy can’t fly and two, if you challenge her, she’s going to defy you. It’s who she is. That’s why he isn’t pushing about the decision she’s made. She said she wanted to go home and put her family back together despite the potential danger and that’s what she’s going to do. All they can do is try to keep her safe.

Liam admitted he’s struggling with the idea of not trying to get her to see their point of view because he is worried something bad is going to happen. As he noted, when someone is in Sheila’s way she removes them and that’s how she sees Steffy, as someone who is keeping her from the life she wants with her son and her grandson.

Over at Forrester Creations, RJ and Hope weren’t discussing Sheila. Their conversation was all about Hope’s flagging marriage and Liam’s inability to forgive her. Hope said she’d put everything on the table, but we know that’s not true. Liam doesn’t know she slept with Thomas and neither does anyone but Ridge and Brooke. So RJ’s sympathies were a little out of place considering his sister wasn’t being entirely honest with him.

He couldn’t believe that Liam wouldn’t at least try to save their marriage since she had forgiven him for so much. Hope also implied that he led her on even though Liam never told her that he was coming back to her. Still, RJ is Team Lope and he wanted his sister to imagine a man who supports her and loves her, it was clear he thought she was picturing Liam, but that doesn’t seem to be who she was thinking of.

I’d put money on it being Thomas that her mind conjured when she closed her eyes. After all, he’s done nothing but shower her in affection, praise, and romantic speeches since he found out Liam turned her down on trying again. Perhaps this may lead to her wanting more from Thomas than physical satisfaction.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
