One of the biggest nights in music is back tonight to celebrate the artists and all their musical talent! The 2023 MTV VMAs is hosted by Nicki Minaj, and has a number of awesome nominations and performances slated for our enjoyment. If you can’t watch it on TV, is there a streaming option?

The awards show is a celebration of artists whose “cultural impact and work” over the last year has made a difference in the music industry and “cultivated global conversations,” per a press release. Leading this year’s noms is Taylor Swift with a total of eight! Others who could snag a win this evening are Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Shakira, and many more. Plus, the event has 15 categories that fans have been voting on for their favorite artists.

Where to stream the 2023 MTV VMAs (Is it on Peacock?)

The awards show is not streaming on Peacock. The 2023 MTV VMAs airs tonight, Sept. 12, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV. So if you have cable and access to the channel, then no problem. However, if you are looking for an online option, then that’s going to be Paramount+! The event will be streaming on the platform live as well.

Some of this year’s categories are Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Also, Latin queen Shakira is going to be presented with the Video Vanguard Award. This is the first time a “South American artist” is given the award, per the press release. The singer will be at the awards show in person to accept the award, and perform on the MTV stage for the first time in 17 years. We can’t wait!
