According to IMDb, filming took place in Oklahoma where the real-life events and history of the story actually happened. Cameras were rolling from April 2021 to October of that year, with some additional filming happening in March 2022.

Most elements were shot in Fairfax, Osage County, while Pawhuska, Osage County served as the spot where the Osage Nation lived. Bartlesville, Washington County in the state also served as a filming location. In April 2021, director Martin Scorsese said the following to IndieWire:

"We are thrilled to finally start production on Killers of the Flower Moon in Oklahoma. To be able to tell this story on the land where these events took place is incredibly important and critical to allowing us to portray an accurate depiction of the time and people. We’re grateful to Apple, the Oklahoma Film and Music Office and The Osage Nation, especially all our Osage consultants and cultural advisors, as we prepare for this shoot. We’re excited to start working with our local cast and crew to bring this story to life on screen and immortalize a time in American history that should not be forgotten."

The Oklahoman also shares that local businesses in Pawhuska like Roslynn Jackson’s Gypsy Cowgirl and Pawhuska Marketplace were used and transformed into a 1920s flower shop and men’s tailoring shop, respectively. You can visit each of the towns, and visit the local businesses.
