Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season features a number of amazing matchups, including a handful of exciting divisional matchups that promise to be hard-hitting and must-see spectacles.

In the early part of the afternoon on Sunday, fans will get to see AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals going head-to-head. The Ravens will be looking to keep their winning streak alive, while the Bengals will be hoping to rebound from last week’s shocking loss to fellow AFC North rivals the Cleveland Browns.

We’ll also see the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans do battle in the early window on Sunday with both teams looking to rebound from their Week 1 losses.

As the afternoon rolls on, the San Francisco 49ers will head to LA to take on the Rams in what promises to be an explosive matchup. Both teams are hot off impressive Week 1 wins and want nothing more than to keep that streak going with a win over their division rivals.

Then there is the week’s Sunday Night Football matchup, which will also feature a pair of divisional rivals in what promises to be one of the day’s must-see games!

Who is playing on Sunday Night Football in Week 2?

On September 17, the Miami Dolphins will head to Foxborough to face off against their AFC East rivals the New England Patriots in primetime as the Week 2 Sunday Night Football game.

Both teams faced off in close scoring games in Week 1, showing sparks of brilliance across their season openers in proving that the AFC East is going to be one to watch this year. While the Dolphins managed to pick up a win over the LA Chargers (36-24), the Patriots weren’t as lucky in their Week 1 matchup losing to the Philadelphia Eagles (25-20).

On Sunday, the Patriots will look to get their first win of the season while the Dolphins are hungry to pick up their first divisional win as they keep their winning streak alive. With two explosive offenses facing off and two incredible quarterbacks at the helm of the teams, we could be in store for a shootout!

Who won the last time the Dolphins and Patriots played?

As two members of the AFC East, the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots are used to facing off against one another at least two times a year. Their most recent matchup came in Week 17 of the 2022 season in which the Patriots defeated the Dolphins 23-21.

Heading into this weekend’s primetime faceoff, the Dolphins are being eyed as the favorites to win the game. However, as Week 1 taught us, you can never underestimate an underdog and we’ve learned never to count out the New England Patriots.
