Yellowstone, the hit Paramount Network series, has made its CBS broadcast debut. The Taylor Sheridan program, which has two spin-off prequels and a continuation in the works starring Matthew McConaughey, tells the story of the Dutton family.

Their Montana based ranch is their legacy and has been for over a century and everyone wants a piece of it in some capacity. John, the patriarch (played by Kevin Costner), is doing what he can to stave off government encroachment, livestock and land disputes with the Indian Reservation, and family in-fighting.

For their Fall TV event, CBS is running the first season of Yellowstone from the beginning. For new viewers, this means being introduced to the cast that’s enthralled longtime fans along with Sheridan’s writing. Here’s what we you need to know!
