How many PAW Patrol movies are there? (And where to watch)

Your favorite animated rescue animals are back in action on the big screen! The PAW Patrol franchise has a new theatrical release coming to audiences very soon!

The franchise has grown from its humble beginnings as a Canadian children’s’ animated television series that premiered in August 2013. The premise of PAW Patrol is centered around Ryder, a young boy who leads a crew of search and rescue dogs that call themselves the PAW Patrol.

Each dog has a specific set of skills based on real-life emergency services jobs, including, but not limited to: “second-in-command” pup, Chase, a German Shepard and police/spy pup; Skye, a cockapoo and air rescue pup and Zuma, a chocolate labrador and aquatic rescue pup! They, along with the rest of the rescue pups, reside in doghouses that transform into “pupmobiles” and own “pup packs” that contain tools relating to each of their jobs. The series is produced by Guru Studio and Spin Master Entertainment.

With the excitement brewing around this new film, you may be wondering how many PAW Patrol movies there are in existence and also where you can watch the series if you haven’t been able to find out where to watch it. How many PAW Patrol movies are there? (And where to watch)

As of now, there is one completed PAW Patrol movie with the the theatrical release of the second one on its way. The first film, PAW Patrol: The Movie, came out in August 2021. The second film,  PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie is expected to hit theaters on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023.

PAW Patrol: The Movie is available to stream on Paramount+. If history repeats itself, the second film should also be available to stream on Paramount+ after its theatrical run. Both PAW Patrol: The Movie and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie are produced by Spin Master Entertainment and distributed internationally by Paramount Pictures under Nickelodeon Movies.

Where to watch the PAW Patrol series

When the series first aired in Canada, it was broadcast exclusively on TVOntario. Now, you can watch the PAW Patrol series right now on multiple streaming services with a premium subscription.

PAW Patrol can be streamed on Hulu, The Roku Channel, Prime Video. Get the whole family together and have a watch party of the episodes and the first movie before the second film comes out! There’s also a spin off called Rubble & Crew, which can be streamed with premium subscriptions on Philo, Hulu, Sling TV, and The Roku Channel.
