Survivor 45, which is primed to be a 90 minute weekly adventure, begins Tuesday, Sept. 27 on CBS. This go around 18 castaways will be left to survive on the islands of Fiji.

Viewers should be prepared for an intense fare as the extra runtime this season means the show will be able to dive even deeper into group dynamics, the building tension between players, and the mental fatigue that goes hand-in-hand with the challenge presented to these contestants.

The name of the game is outlasting your opponents but first the castaways will be separated into three teams, each consisting of six members. They’ll need to work together not only to survive but also to ensure they don’t lose to the other teams and wind up at a tribe council where one person will have to be voted off. How have the contestants been divided? Here’s what we know!

Survivor 45 tribes

Ahead of the Survivor 45 premiere, “We Can Do Hard Things,” Gold Derby reports the 18 castaways have been separated into three tribes: Belo, Lulu, and Reba.

In the season opener, the teams will be competing to finish their first challenge before the other. The tribe that finishes first will receive crucial supplies for their time in Fiji. The remaining teams will be vying for camp essentials and immunity. The tribe that finishes last will be sending someone home.

Who’s on the Belo tribe on Survivor 45?

Kendra McQuarrie

Brandon “Brando” Meyer

Kellie Nalbandian

Jake O’Kane

Bruce Perreault

Katurah Topps

The members of Belo, also known as the Blue tribe, range in age from 23-47.

They have the benefit of having Kellie Nalbandian, a critical care nurse, amongst their ranks but primarily consist of contestants who work in sedentary jobs. There are, however, two attorneys–Jake O’Kane and Katurah Topps–on the team whose social games could be on lock considering their jobs require them to listen and persuade.

Viewers should also keep an eye on Kendra McQuarrie, the bartender, as that’s a profession which requires dealing with a host of personalities and being a listening ear and even sometimes a shoulder to lean on. That’s sure to come in handy.

Kendra McQuarrie – 31, bartender | Steamboat Springs, CO

Brandon “Brando” Meyer – 23, software developer | Seattle, WA

Kellie Nalbandian – 30, critical care nurse | New York City, NY

Jake O’Kane – 26, attorney | Boston, MA

Bruce Perreault – 47, insurance agent | Warwick, RI

Katurah Topps – 35, civil rights attorney | Brooklyn, NY

Who’s on the Lulu tribe on Survivor 45?

Sabiyah Broderick

Brandon Donlon

Sean Edwards

Emily Flippen

Kaleb Gebrewold

Hannah Rose

The Lulu tribe, also known as the yellow team, is dominated by millennials with exception to Brandon Donlon, the single Gen Z cusper of the group (the zennial if you will).

Given the occupations of the members of this tribe, viewers should gear up for a cerebral strategy amongst these players. Sean Edwards and Hannah Rose–the school principal and the therapist–have day-to-day job responsibilities at work that require organization, mental acumen, and problem solving involving differing personalities which is an advantage.

Emily Flippen, the group’s investment analyst, works in a field that necessitates being able to see the long game and the benefit of returns. Her social game is one to keep an eye on. The same goes for software salesperson Kaleb Gebrewold since his livelihood depends on being able to persuade people to buy what he’s selling.

Sabiyah Broderick – 28, truck driver | Jacksonville, NC

Brandon Donlon – 26, content producer | Sicklerville, NJ

Sean Edwards – 35, school principal | Provo-Orem, UT

Emily Flippen – 28, investment analyst | Laurel, MD

Kakeb Gebrewold – 29, software salesperson | Vancouver, British Columbia

Hannah Rose – 33, therapist | Baltimore, MD

Who’s on the Reba tribe on Survivor 45?

Julie Alley

Nicholas “Sifu” Alsup

Drew Basile

Janani “J” Krishnan-Jha

Austin Li Coon

Dee Valladares

20somethings make up the majority of the Reba tribe. This could mean that the red team will have a better chance of developing a rapport as they’re closer in age to one another. Though that may leave Julie Alley as the odd woman out since she has 20+ years on her teammates. That’s not to say Alley should be counted out. Her experience as an estate attorney, navigating tense group dynamics will be a benefit during the season.

Nicholas Alsup is the group’s brawn. Obviously, as a gym owner, he’ll be bringing his physical abilities to the table, making him a valuable member of Reba. The one among their ranks to watch when it comes to the social game is likely Dee Valladares. As an entrepreneur she has to have tenacity and grit in order to manage her career as well as charm and persuasion. Those skill sets are going to be a benefit to her individual strategy.

Julie Alley – 49, estate attorney | Brentwood, TN

Nicholas “Sifu” Alsup – 30, gym owner | O’Fallon, IL

Drew Basile – 23, grad student | Philadelphia, PA

Janani “J. Maya” Krishnan-Jha – 24, singer | Los Angeles, CA

Austin Li Coon – 26, grad student | Chicago, IL

Dee Valladares – 26, entrepreneur | Miami, FL
