What to know about Leslie Fhima, the Golden Bachelor contestant hoping to dance right into Gerry’s heart

The time has come! The Golden Bachelor‘s season 1 finale airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET. It’s been a journey watching Gerry try to follow his heart and pick the woman he not only loves but can see a life with beyond the show. He’s caught between Theresa Nist and Leslie Fhima but, I have to be honest, Leslie looks to be the woman he’s truly fallen for out of the two.

This should come as no surprise, she’s a dynamite woman and has been a standout throughout the entire season. When we first met Leslie, we knew the bare minimum about her:

The mother of three and self-described glama’s bio page spoke to how she wanted a man who could enhance her life. The word choice there is key because Leslie’s life is full. She has a loving family who only want the best for her and her brother, Stuart, who raised her after their father died, is incredibly protective.

Leslie is a successful business woman. She owns Soul612 which caters to all ages. Her brand is all about movement and fun, bringing the joy of dance to all of her clients. But what she’s missing is lasting love. Unlike Gerry, who’d married his high school sweetheart, Toni, and was blessed with 43 years with her before she passed in 2017, Leslie hasn’t had a great, romantic love of her life.

She’s been married twice but both marriages ended in divorce. When asked in the ‘Meet the Ladies of The Golden Bachelor’ video, “Why are you ready to find love now?,” she answered that she’s been ready for a long time. Perhaps Gerry is the one who will provide Leslie with the romance, commitment, passion, and partnership she’s yearned for and hasn’t given up hope on finding with someone.

In the fantasy suites episode, Leslie and Gerry bonded after propelling down a rock face next to a gorgeous waterfall. The moment was adventurous for them both though Leslie did admit to being wary of the endeavor.

The two have consistently embraced living loudly and boldly, choosing activities that have included driving an RV and luxuriating in a hot tub in the grand outdoors. Leslie also displayed her dance skills during a talent show earlier on in The Golden Bachelor‘s first season. There is something spirited about the couple that makes you want to root for them. Hopefully they can go the distance!

Either way though, Leslie’s time on the series is yet another entry for her in the realm of pop culture. As she mentioned on the show, she’s already been enshrined in music history. She doesn’t only hail from Minneapolis, MN, the birth place of the iconic Prince, she also dated the legendary artist!

The Star Tribune reports that, according to her son Eli Fhima, she started seeing Prince in her late teens and the relationship lasted into her early 20s. In fact, the star wrote “Sexy Dancer” about her. They split after Leslie decided she was going to go on tour with the Ice Follies, an ice show that was putting productions on in Europe, she was a professional figure skater at the time.
