Apple TV+’s highly anticipated wartime drama, Masters of the Air, is about to take viewers on a thrilling journey through an important chapter in history. Set against the backdrop of American pilots conducting perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany, this true story, based on Donald L. Miller’s acclaimed book, brings together an ensemble cast led by Austin Butler and Barry Keoghan. The reuniting of iconic executive producers Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, and Gary Goetzman, known for their masterpieces like HBO’s Band of Brothers and The Pacific, has raised expectations to new heights!

In Masters of the Air, viewers can expect to be transported to the frigid skies, 25,000 feet above Nazi Germany, where young men from the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) fought against all odds. The series promises to delve deep into the psychological and emotional toll these brave individuals paid as they played their part in the downfall of Hitler’s Third Reich. Some returned home, some were captured, and others paid the ultimate sacrifice, but all bore the weight of their experiences. The official synopsis, per IMDb, reads:

"“Five miles above the ground and behind enemy lines, eleven men inside a bomber known as a ‘Flying Fortress’ battle flocks of German fighters.”"
