Drama, tears, and Scandoval. Vanderpump Rules season 10 certainly brought with it very unexpected and shocking revelations. But none like the final taped episode, and then the three-part reunion. Now, fans are anxiously awaiting for Vanderpump Rules season 11!
We can’t wait to see what the new season on Bravo will bring, and what is going to happen next in the lives of the Vanderpump cast. Here’s everything we know about Vanderpump Rules season 11 ahead of its release!
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is coming Jan. 30, 2024!
Good news Vanderpump fans! Vanderpump Rules season 11 premieres Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. That’s so soon! Season 11 will air weekly episodes on Bravo when the show returns. If you miss them live, you can stream new episodes on Peacock the next day they air. Seasons 1 to 10 are all currently streaming on Peacock.
Get pumped! As of Dec. 11, 2023, we officially have the trailer as well! The season promises “shattered friendships, love triangles, and secrets to uncover.” Oh my goodness. After the explosive revelations from last season, we’re going to see the aftermath of #Scandoval. With both exes Tom Scandoval and Ariana Madix returning, this is going to be a big part of the season. And apparently, they’re still living together. Hmm. But still, the scandal hasn’t just affected the couple, but the whole cast of friends as well. Check out the video below:
In July 2023, showrunner Alex Baskin answered a question about season 11 not airing until 2024 in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She responded with “in six months, we’ll drop a new season.” So with that information, we predicted a January 2024 potential release date, and we were right!
The last episode of season 10 aired in May 2023, and the Vanderpump Rules reunion episodes that had all eyes on them finished airing in June. The show has also not been affected by the writers strike or actors strike, both of which have now been resolved. This is because the show is a reality series, and the stars don’t fall under the actors guild for this particular series.
Is season 11 filming?
According to cast member Lala Kent, filming on the eleventh season started on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. During an Amazon livestream at that time, the reality star shared the update. She said the film date is “giving me anxiety” and making her “nervous” as the cast members haven’t had time to fully process all the drama and revelations that happened last season. While they usually have a reprieve, this time around they just have to jump back into it. She said the following during the livestream, per Variety:
"I’m not complaining, though. I sit here like, ‘I’m so tired. I don’t know what it’s gonna be like. I’m nervous. I need a break.’ But I like to work. I thrive off of a schedule because I’m a Virgo."
Filming got underway as scheduled. Bravo shared first-look images with fans back in July keeping up with all the Vanderpump Rules news. The photos are of Lisa Vanderpump, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay, Lala Kent and Ally Lewber (James Kennedy’s girlfriend) at Vanderpump’s TomTom bar located in West Hollywood. Other than the trailer, we also have the first seven minutes of the premiere episode. And of course it features what everyone is talking about – Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval. It hints at how Tom’s scandal has affected his friendship within the group, and some of the tension between the exes. Check it out below:
Per Bravo, a comment about the teaser in a E! News post said fans might “develop a soft spot for Tom” in Vanderpump Rules season 11. And surprisingly, Ariana agreed saying “certainly wouldn’t be surprised if the audience swings that way. Hmm! Overall when it came to filming with him, here’s what she had to say:
"You know, it is what it is. It was weird, it was different, it was difficult, and I’m glad that it’s behind me."
Cast: Will Raquel Leviss be back?
Since Lala gave a production start update and she’s in the photos mentioned above, that means she’s going to be in the new season. Plus, the other lovely gals in the photos are there too, confirming their return. Here’s the confirmed cast list:
Confirmed to return:
- Lisa Vanderpump
- Lala Kent
- Ariana Madix
- Tom Sandoval
- Scheana Shay
- Katie Maloney
- Tom Schwartz
- Ally Lewber
- James Kennedy
- Brock Davies
Unknown if returning:
- Ken Todd
- Charli Burnett
- Kristina Kelly
- Peter Madrigal
- Guillermo Zapata
- Nathalie Zapata
Per Bravo, here’s what each of the cast members will be up to in the new season:
"As a mentor and confidant to the group, Lisa is working to restore some peace between two feuding exes as she attempts to provide perspective. Lisa is refocusing her expertise on opening a new restaurant in Lake Tahoe and continuing her success with additional ventures in Las Vegas.
Lala is still in the midst of a challenging custody battle, but being the best mom to Ocean remains her priority. Lala explores fertility treatments and looks for a sperm donor as a single mother. She finds an unlikely connection with Tom Schwartz, forming a friendship that neither saw coming, but creating tension between her and the rest of the girls as her forgiveness for the Toms grows.
Ariana’s life was turned upside down after a devastating breakup, but she’s determined to make the best of a difficult situation. Although she still shares a home with her ex, Ariana is moving on and dating a new long-distance boyfriend. While working to open the doors to her and Katie’s sandwich shop, Something About Her, Ariana is embracing the countless opportunities that have come her way.
In the aftermath of a scandal that changed his romantic relationships, dynamics within the group and the success of his businesses, Tom Sandoval is working on bettering himself. In a fragile state, he focuses on repairing the foundations of his friendships. When he isn’t on the road touring with his band, Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras, he and Ariana live under the same roof … locked in a stalemate for the house.
Celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary, Scheana and husband Brock are struggling to connect as they leave the honeymoon stage and settle into their life with a toddler. Scheana works on new music as a way to express herself. She finds herself straddling the lines in the sand within the group as she navigates her relationships with her longtime friends, and feuding exes, Ariana and Tom.
With more distance from her divorce, Katie is exploring life as a single woman and dating, even if her pursuits strike too close to home for her ex-husband, Tom Schwartz. A previous indiscretion comes to light and threatens to upend her and Scheana’s renewed friendship as well as her cordial post-divorce relationship with Tom.
Tom Schwartz is mending a challenged friendship after taking the heat for his part in his best friend’s shocking deception. Embracing a new identity, Tom bleaches his hair, evades exclusivity with a friend-potentially-turned-girlfriend, and winds up in a surprising love triangle with a new flame and his ex-wife.
Recently proclaimed #1 guy in the group, James’ friendships within the circle are stronger than ever and his DJ career is booming. He bought a house in the Valley and is settling into suburban life with his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, along with their cat and a dog from James’ past."
Scandoval: Raquel Leviss is not returning
Dubbed “Scandoval,” the word refers to the fact that Tom cheated on his girlfriend of nine years, Ariana, with fellow Vanderpump co-star Raquel. The trio were also all friends. Ariana found out about the affair after she saw texts between her boyfriend and friend. At first Tom and Raquel agreed they would say they were only together once in Mexico at Scheana’s wedding. But Raquel later admitted they were seeing each other regularly.
In June 2023, Raquel checked into a mental health facility. On July 14, 2023, she checked out of the facility, per Entertainment Tonight. Then TMZ reported the reality star was bound by a contract with Bravo, meaning she would have had to return at some point. However, it seems like this is not happening. In August, Lisa Vanderpump told TMZ that Raquel isn’t coming back in Vanderpump Rules season 11. Here’s what she told the outlet:
"When she was in the facility, her team texted and emailed us. We wanted to make sure she was in a good place first and I was going to do a one-on-one with her. She talked about [returning]. Her team reached out. But in the end, I think she decided not to."
Raquel, who was introduced in the season 5 premiere in November 2016 as James Kennedy’s new girlfriend at the time, is now going by a different name. Leviss’ birth and government name is actually Rachel, but since she was young everyone called her Raquel and that’s what she stuck with. When Scandoval was revealed, people online called her “Rachel” to be used in a negative way. TMZ reports she is now going by Rachel instead, as this was recommended by her therapists, to counteract the negative way people are trying to use her name.
According to Variety, Rachel has an iHeartPodcast coming out in January 2024 as well. Rachel Goes Rogue debuts Jan. 8, 2024. You can expect to hear her “side of the story,” about Scandoval, as well as talking about her mental health journey.
