Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas is here! First up to the candy cane bat is Checkin’ It Twice, a romance that pairs a real estate executive and a minor league hockey player. Ashley and Scott are thrown together by fate thanks to a switcheroo in an airport gift shop that leads to them accidentally taking each other’s credit cards when in they’re in the middle of making their separate purchases.

The two are reunited when Ashley learns that Scott is actually staying in her family’s guest house. Fresh off a break-up and needing some time away from her job in New York City, she was ready to relax and enjoy some holiday traditions and the town of Trout Falls’ festivities. What she could have never expected was for sparks to fly between her and Scott.

He, however, is only in town to play for the D3 hockey team Trout Falls boasts. It’s a stepping stone on his way to the big leagues so when Scott gets the call that he’s being called up to a D2 team, their romance hits a fork in the road. Does he go after his dream? What about Ashley? This trip home was only supposed to be a break and she has the opportunity to close a high profile real estate deal back in the city. Does she give up her shot?

In Checkin’ It Twice, these two go-getters will have to decide whether success means leaving each other behind or finding a way to chart a path forward together. The film premieres October 20 on Hallmark Channel. Here’s everything you need to know.

Checkin’ It Twice airtime and schedule

Get your popcorn and comfy blanket ready because Checkin’ It Twice makes its debut at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT tonight! But don’t worry. If you miss its premiere, you’ll be able to view the Hallmark Channel movie on the following days:

  • Saturday, Oct. 21 – 6 p.m./5 p.m. CT
  • Sunday, Oct. 29 – 2 p.m./1 p.m. CT
  • Tuesday, Oct. 31 – 10 p.m./9 p.m. CT
  • Friday, Nov. 10 – 10 a.m./9 a.m. CT
  • Saturday, Nov. 18 – 4 p.m./3 p.m. CT
  • Monday, Nov. 27 – 6 p.m./5 p.m. CT

Checkin’ It Twice stars Kim Matula and Kevin McGarry in the lead roles of Ashley and Scott. Matula is best known for her work on The Bold and the Beautiful as Hope Logan. She played the daughter of Brooke Logan from 2010-2016. In last year’s Countdown to Christmas Matula starred in Ghost of Christmas Always as Katherine, the ghost of Christmas present.

Hallmark Channel viewers know McGarry well as he plays Nathan Grant on When Calls the Heart and stars as Peter in the Wedding Veil film franchise. The actor also played Mitch Cutty on Heartland from 2016-2021.
