Who is Katie Flood on Winter House?

On Winter House season 3, there’s some familiar faces we’ve seen in past seasons of the show like Amanda Batula, Kyle Cooke, and Kory Keefer. But we also have lots of newcomers who’ve joined the wintery reality series. One of those cast members is Katie Flood!

And while she’s new to Winter House, that doesn’t mean she’s new to the Bravo family. As many of you know, the show brings cast members from a number of Bravo’s reality shows like Vanderpump Rules, Below Deck, and more. That means if Katie looks familiar, that’s probably because you’ve seen her before!

Katie Flood first appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean season 6. The show follows the lives of crew members who work and live on a superyacht, and of course visit different countries. Katie worked as the Chief Steward on Lady Michelle, which traveled to Croatia. She’s also reuniting with Malia White on Winter House, who was also on Katie’s Below Deck season. During their time on the sea-faring series, the two were obvious work besties. And now, we get to see more of that in the snow-filled third season of Winter House.

Katie Flood is from Auckland, New Zealand and has traveled all over the world thanks to her job. Some of those places include Turkey, France, Mexico, and more. The Capricorn was born on Christmas day – Dec. 25, 1991. As of October 2023, she’s 31 years old and close to celebrating her 32nd birthday. While she reunites with Malia this season, there’s some more friends from the Below Deck franchise who are visiting. Those are Rhylee Gerber, Aesha Scott, and Captain Sandy Yawn. So what does Katie’s journey look like on Winter House season 3?

According to a Bravo press release, this gal is “single and ready to mingle.” Traveling around the world has helped her form connections in multiple places. And now being in the wintery cabin, it looks like things aren’t going to be different. When Katie “finds herself connecting” with a fellow cast member who’s “opposite of her usual type,” is she going to be able to pursue something with a “sensitive guy?”

Are Katie Flood and Tom Schwartz dating?

Who is this guy you ask? It’s actually Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz! On the premiere episode of Winter House season 3, the two definitely hit it off and there was an instant connection between them. Those of you who are fans of Vanderpump Rules know that Tom recently divorced his wife in 2022, Katie Maloney.

Though it doesn’t seem like their relationship was serious. It looks to be something more “fun,” as shared by Winter House cast member Kyle Cooke to E! News. We provided his statement to the news outlet below:

"What’s cool about Katie, she put it out there. She’s like, ‘I’m like a nomad, I’m a yachtie, I’m here to have fun.’ Most chicks that say it’s no strings attached are just saying that. But Katie Floody, she was like, ‘No strings attached, Tom, let’s have some fun.’ It was a best case scenario."

And now that filming of the show is over, things seem to indicate that Katie and Tom aren’t dating anymore. Even so, we’re going to see where this attraction leads them in season 3 and what kind of “fun” they get up to. I’m here for it! Are you?
