Friends star Matthew Perry dead at 54 (Report)

In a heart-wrenching loss for fans worldwide, beloved Friends star Matthew Perry has tragically passed away at the age of 54. This devastating news has left many in mourning, as we remember the immense talent and laughter he brought to our lives throughout his remarkable career as a member of the Friends cast.
According to reports from TMZ, law enforcement was called to Perry’s L.A. home for a cardiac arrest call. While the details remain unclear, Perry is said to have been found unresponsive in a jacuzzi at his home in an apparent drowning.
While details are scarce, the outlet reports that there were no signs of foul play, and no drugs were found at the scene.
"“Law enforcement sources tell us the actor was found Saturday at an L.A.-area home, where we’re told he appears to have drowned,” TMZ reports. “Our sources say first-responders rushed over on a call for cardiac arrest. It’s unclear where exactly on the grounds this happened. He was found in a jacuzzi at the home, and we’re told there were no drugs found at the scene. We’re also told there is no foul play involved.”"
Matthew Perry shot to fame as Chandler on Friends
While Perry appeared in dozens of movies and shows over the years, he is best known for playing Chandler Bing in NBC’s iconic 90s sitcom Friends originating the role of Chandler Bing. Perry appeared in all 234 episodes of the show with his character becoming a fan-favorite for many fans over its ten-year run.
As a member of the core cast, Perry starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Courteney Cox. Their roles on the show helped make the six actors global superstars and their roles on the series remain their most iconic roles for the six performers.
Perry most recently joined his former co-stars for the Friends: The Reunion special which aired as an exclusive on Max back in 2021. The special saw Perry reuniting with Aniston, LeBlanc, Kudrow, Schwimmer, and Cox to reflect upon their time on the show, revisiting the set they called home for 10 seasons on Friends and catching up with former costars.
