Happy Halloween to all my readers. I hope you join the 1.3 million people in the world in dressing like Barbie or Ken. Like we do each and every week, we’re sharing all the new Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Oct. 30, 2023.

For all of my fans of reality TV, if you haven’t had the chance to catch Surviving Paradise, this is your sign to watch it. While the show isn’t perfect, the concept and the game playing within the show make it fun to watch. Of course, there is a cast of characters on that show that will literally blow your mind too.

New Netflix movies and shows to watch this week

  • Ralph Barbosa: Cowabunga, Oct. 31
  • All The Light We Cannot See,  Nov. 2
  • Selling Sunset Season 7, Nov. 3
  • NYAD, Nov. 3

The series All The Light We Cannot See is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name that follows the story of a blind French girl named Marie-Laure and her father, Daniel Leblanc, who flee Paris, which Germany occupies. The show was written and directed by Shawn Levy and stars Aria Mia Loberti as Marie-Laure and Mark Ruffalo as Daniel Leblanc. This has been at the top of my watch list since I heard it was coming out.

Netflix’s other big release this week is NYAD, the film based on the true story of Diana Nyad, who along with her best friend and coach, commits to completing her lifelong dream of swimming the 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida. The film stars Annette Benning in the lead role of Diana, with Jodie Foster playing her best friend and coach, Bonnie Stoll. The film has its faults, but Diana’s story will inspire the general audience.

From our suggestions, what will you be watching? Are you excited about NYAD? Or will you be checking out All The Light We Cannot See with me? Let’s hope next week brings us more Netflix additions.
