Sorry to be the bearer of bad news game show enthusiasts but CBS’ new program Lotería Loca won’t be returning with new episodes in November. The series, hosted by Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin) and featuring the legendary Sheila E. as co-host and the house band leader, has been pulled from the schedule by the network.

TVLine reports this is due to low viewership. The game show debuted to 1.2 million viewers on Monday, Oct. 2, but it hasn’t seen the increase in audience it needs. In fact, it’s seen a steady decline. According to the outlet, a recent episode made it “just a hair over 1 million viewers” and secured a 0.1 in the demo.

Now, I know you’re thinking, but that’s just Live+Same Day numbers, where does it land for those who are delayed in watching? It does air on a football night after all. But, unfortunately, even with Live-7 playback viewers factored in, Lotería Loca gains only 6% more in its audience.

The good news is, despite the game show being pulled, it hasn’t completely left CBS’ 2023-2024 schedule. Here’s everything we know.

When does Lotería Loca return with new episodes?

TVLine also reported that a holiday episode of Lotería Loca will air in December. The date for that episode’s premiere hasn’t been announced, however, it’s sure to be a good one. There’s truly nothing like a themed game show episode as the challenges, which are already wacky, tend to get special twists to them, people are decked out in their season’s finest, and the jackpot sometimes gets even sweeter. I can’t wait to find out what they have planned for the studio audience and for us at home.

After that special episode, however, we could be back in limbo when it comes to waiting for more episodes. They’ll be returning at a “later date” which likely means sometime in 2024, perhaps after the NFL season has wrapped. We’ll see. In the meantime, CBS is about to make Mondays an NCIS fan’s dream come true. A three hour block of reruns will air on Monday, Nov. 6 and Nov. 13.

Come Nov. 20, Let’s Make a Deal Primetime will be joining the fray. It’ll be slotted into the 9 p.m. ET window which does mean there will be an NCIS rerun airing at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Then, on Nov. 27, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will air at 8 p.m. followed by an episode of Let’s Make a Deal Primetime before another rerun of NCIS.

The CBS Monday schedule in November for easy viewing:

  • Nov. 6: NCIS (reruns), 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Nov. 13: NCIS (reruns), 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Nov. 20
    • NCIS (rerun), 8 p.m.
    • Let’s Make a Deal Primetime, 9 p.m.
    • NCIS (rerun), 10 p.m.
  • Nov. 27
    • Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, 8 p.m.
    • Let’s Make a Deal Primetime, 9 p.m.
    • NCIS (rerun), 10 p.m.
