Euphoria season 3 gets a disappointing update

The second season of HBO’s Euphoria concluded on Feb. 27, 2022, so well over a year ago. Typically there are only 12-14 months between seasons, but Sam Levinson has always played by his own rules, especially when it comes to his mega-hit series Euphoria. Still, we weren’t really expecting season 3 to take as long as it reportedly will. In case you missed it, earlier this week, fans got a pretty disappointing update about when Euphoria season 3 is coming out.

From the brilliant soundtrack to the beautiful and vibrant cinematography, there’s so much to love about Euphoria. The cast all get along and you can see this from the screen, they all share incredible chemistry. Season 2, in particular, saw Sydney Sweeney and Alexa Demie whine in their roles.

HBO renewed Euphoria for a third season, but this is a popular and busy cast. Finding a good time for everyone to film is a difficult task in itself. However, add to this the delays, recent (and ongoing) strikes, and the soul-crushing recent passing of Angus Cloud. As much as we love these characters and wish we would see their stories continue, Angus’ death was the final straw. I don’t know about you, but I would be just fine if we do not get another season of Euphoria. Season 2 finished on a cliffhanger, but one I can’t say I’m eager to explore.

Well, want it or not, Euphoria season 3 is happening. But don’t hold your breath on it! It’s going to be a long, long while before new episodes come out.

The latest Euphoria season 3 update

As Variety reports, during a press event, HBO boss Casey Bloys confirmed that season 3 of the wildly popular and hit-series Euphoria, is confirmed to be coming in the year 2025. Fingers crossed that, at the very least, the season will premiere early 2025. But even so, we have over a year to go.

At this even, it was also revealed that The Last of Us season 2, The White Lotus season 3, and Welcome to Derry have also all been confirmed for 2025.
