Bob’s Burgers is known for its holiday episodes, especially Thanksgiving. It is Bob Belcher’s favorite holiday.

Maybe it’s due to Bob being a cook, but the series always has a great Thanksgiving episode. Sadly due to the entertainment industry strikes, there will be no Thanksgiving episode for season 14.

As sad as it is, there is one bright spot and it’s the massive backlog of Bob’s Burgers Thanksgiving episodes to enjoy. We can only hope the tradition continues next year and hopefully, it’ll be a special Thanksgiving for the Belchers.

Regardless if you’re excited about Thanksgiving and want to watch some Bob’s Burgers, let’s break down four can’t-miss Thanksgiving-themed episodes to watch this holiday season.

There’s only one place to start when it comes to these episodes and it’s the show’s first one. Season 3 was the first time the Belchers celebrated Thanksgiving with the episode entitled “An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal.” The episode centers around Mr. Fischoeder borrowing the family including Bob to impress an old friend/lover.

The episode goes entirely off the rails but sets the precedent for just how disastrous Thanksgiving is for the Belchers. Plus there is no denying Linda’s Thanksgiving song is the best part of the episode. If you haven’t watched this episode yet, you need to queue it up this Thanksgiving.

Next up on the list is season 4’s “Turkey in a Can.” This is another Thanksgiving favorite and the Belchers are hosting. Things are going great until the turkey starts ending up in the toilet. Bob is convinced someone is sabotaging him but the answer is much more sentimental than that.

This episode feels like the sheer embodiment of the series and just how wacky yet loving the family is. Plus this episode features the family hosting Gayle, Teddy, and Mort which is just too cute. Also, there’s another Thanksgiving song which is the marker of a great episode.

Skipping ahead to season 9, “I Bob Your Pardon” is an episode where the Belcehrs work together on a common goal as Tina wants to save the turkey who isn’t being pardoned and instead will be eaten. It ends up being a wild turkey chase with the ultimate happy ending for Bob (and a song!)

Rounding out the list is “Now We’re Not Cooking With Gas” which was season 10’s Thanksgiving offering. Bob gets his dream turkey and is so excited until he finds out about a gas leak. Unable to use the oven, Bob ends up doing anything he deems necessary to cook the bird.

As unhinged as Bob is in “Now We’re Not Cooking With Gas,” it’s clear how much he loves Thanksgiving and his family. Even though his methods are flawed, Bob doesn’t want to give up and that’s admirable.

All in all, Thanksgiving is a huge deal for Bob’s Burgers and rightfully so. Even if we aren’t celebrating with the Belchers as we have in previous years, there are plenty of good episodes to look back on.

Bob’s Burgers airs on Sundays on Fox at 9/8c.
