Miss Scarlet and the Duke returns for season 4 at the top of 2024
Masterpiece’s Miss Scarlet and The Duke season 4 has a release date! The series, which airs on PBS, will be enjoyed by fans when we get started in the new year. What is the crime drama about and when can you watch it in 2024?
For those new to the series, Miss Scarlet and The Duke follows a young woman who takes on the mantel of running her father’s detective agency after his death. Of course, taking place in Victorian London, this is no easy feat but she takes on the task with some help from someone in her past.
The show stars Kate Phillips from Peaky Blinders as Eliza Scarlet, who makes her mark in the Victorian London era by becoming the first female detective.
In addition, she also has competition with Stuart Martin’s William Wellington, also known as The Duke, and who is a Detective Inspector with Scotland Yard and becomes an unlikely partner for in their work to investigate crimes.
What is Miss Scarlet and the Duke season 4 about?
What we know so far about season 4 is that at this point in time, Eliza has her own detective agency after accepting a job offer from rival Patrick Nash (Felix Scott) and will find help when she faces difficulties. Plus, she has a decision to make involving her personal relationship with Wellington that could alter their lives.
As well as providing a glimpse into how Eliza fares in her new role at Nash & Sons, we will also see the beginnings of Eliza’s relationship with the Duke.
Other series stars set to return include Cathy Belton as Ivy Woods, Simon Mudders as Mr. Potts, Tim Chipping as Detective Phelps, and Evan McCabe as Detective Oliver Fitzroy. Be on the lookout for new cast members Paul Bazely and Curtis Kantsa.
As in previous seasons, there will be six episodes available when the season debuts on January 7, 2024 at 8/7c. The episodes are set to be released every Sunday beginning on Jan. 7 and through February 11.
Fans will also be able to stream the entire series via PBS Passport and through the PBS App. Those with PBS Passport will be available to watch in Canada and the U.S.
