It’s so hard to say goodbye but SWAT’s farewell season kicks off in February 2024
Fans of SWAT have already been bracing themselves for the final season of the CBS show, which saw a cancellation before it was ultimately brought back for a seventh and final season. However, due to the Hollywood strikes, production on the series was put on hold. Now that the strikes are over, when can we watch SWAT season 7?
The finale season premieres Friday, Feb. 16, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET. This should give the show enough time to wrap up its run by the end of the spring, sometime in May. SWAT, which stars Shemar Moore as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson, has been a staple for the network on Friday nights. With the end of the show’s run, fans will be able to watch 13 episodes in season 7 when the show returns in 2024.
In the show’s season 6 finale, Hondo proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Nichelle, months after they welcomed their daughter into the world. It would be a fitting end to the series if they decided to complete Hondo’s arc with a wedding!
While we can expect the remaining cast members to also return, is it possible we’ll see Lina Esco? The actress, who played Officer Chris Alonso for five seasons, left before season 6, but her character has been a quiet presence off screen as she is dating Officer Jim Street, played by Alex Russell. It’s still unknown whether we will get to see Esco return, but Hidden Remote will keep you posted as we learn more about SWAT season 7. You can also catch up on previous episodes of the series on Paramount+.
The Shemar Moore-led series isn’t the only long running program CBS viewers will be bidding goodbye in 2024. News has also broken that Blue Bloods is coming to an end as well. However, it’s send off won’t happen until the fall. Click through to the next page for details.
