No, Teddy’s Christmas isn’t on Disney+ (Here’s where to watch it)

There’s so many wonderful holiday movies to watch from the comfort of your home. Of course, there’s the classics and ones we play as a tradition each year. But, if you’re looking for a new, family-friendly movie to try out this holiday season, we recommend Teddy’s Christmas!

The movie is not streaming on Disney+. Even though it’s a sweet family production for kids, Disney is not the company behind the creation of it. At this time as of Dec. 1, 2023, Teddy’s Christmas is playing in theaters only. That means you’ll need to round up those kiddos and head on over to the big screens if you want to check out the cute Christmas movie. And in my opinion, it’s definitely worth doing so!

Where could Teddy’s Christmas stream after theaters?

The film based on a song by creative Alf Prøysen is not on streaming now, but it could come to the online world eventually. Unfortunately we’re not 100% sure if and when this is going to happen. That’s because the movie is actually a Norwegian production, and has been dubbed and licensed to the U.S.

Right now it’s hard to say where exactly the film will stream. That’s because Blue Fox Entertainment is the company handling U.S. licensing/distribution for the film. For example, Warner Bros. Pictures projects like Barbie, we know will stream on Max eventually because the streamer is owned by Warner Bros. But it’s not as straightforward with Teddy’s Christmas.

Though it’s very likely Teddy’s Christmas will at least either stream on Prime Video, or be available to rent or purchase on the platform. The streamer is included with an Amazon Prime membership for shopping. However if you just want a subscription to the streaming service, then it’s $8.99/month. Other platforms offering on-demand options should be Vudu, Apple TV, and Redbox. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too much for the holiday film to come to streaming!

The sweet and snuggly Christmas movie is all about 8-year-old Mariann, who sees a teddy bear that moves at the carnival game booth at the Christmas market in her small town, per the synopsis. But when someone else wins Teddy (voiced by Zachary Levi), he’s going to figure out a way to get to Mariann with the help of his new friend Bolla to “discover the true importance of family and friendship.”
