Yellowstone season 2 episode 10 (finale) recap
In the Yellowstone season 2 finale, things come to a head between the Dutton’s and Becks’ as the latter family kidnaps Tate Dutton, aka John’s grandson and Kayce and Monica’s son. When Kayce gets to the Becks’ home, he finds Teal, shoots him, and asks where Tate is. It turns out Malcom used the Montana Free Militia for the kidnapping. That night, the Dutton men, with some help, go to the camp and open fire on the militia. Unfortunately, Tate isn’t there either. He’s been taken to Whitefish. Thankfully, they find Tate and rescue him from the white supremacists! The episode comes to a close with us finding out that the Dutton family is apparently going to lose the ranch. Beth is one family member who isn’t too sad about this potentially happening. As she walks back into the house, she sees her father crying on the porch.
3 questions we have going into season 3
Every season of Yellowstone takes us on a wild ride, but the second installment of the Western certainly had many twists and turns we weren’t expecting. And I’m sure Yellowstone season 3 is going to be the same, if not more! After that action-packed and dramatic finale, we have some questions going into season 3:
- Is the feud between the Dutton’s and Becks’ really over?
- What kind of trauma is Tate going to suffer after his kidnapping?
- Is the Dutton family really going to lose the Yellowstone ranch?
This series can certainly be intense at times, but I think it’s still worth watching for those of you who aren’t the faint of heart. Compared to the other shows out there, it provides a unique story in a different world. There’s something about Yellowstone‘s Western-centric story and all the added drama that comes with it that makes it such an enjoyable watch. Sometimes it feels like stories on television have gotten repetitive, but Yellowstone is definitely unique! And that’s why I think the series is doing so well not only on the Paramount Network, but on its broadcast on CBS as well.
Yellowstone season 3 premieres Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024 on CBS.
