Now is the perfect time to get your holiday movie watchlist in order to share with family and friends. With that in mind, make sure to add Elf to your list! With so many streaming services, it can be hard to find the film that you’re looking for. This begs the question, where can you stream the movie?

Subscribers of Warner Bros’-owned Max and Disney-owned Hulu have an early Christmas present this year as the film is available to stream on the two platforms right now! It’s unfortunate that the film isn’t included in all of the streaming platforms subscription plans but if you aren’t a subscriber, it’s very simple to sign up. You can also rent the movie on TVOD through Prime Video, YouTube Movies, Apple TV+, Google Play, and Vudu.

Elf is considered of the most beloved Christmas films of the 21st century. The 2003 Christmas comedy film stars actor and comedian Will Ferrell as Buddy, a human who was raised by Santa’s elves in the North Pole after climbing into Santa’s toy bag as a baby. Being originally from New York City, he heads back to go find his biological father and learn more about who he was before arriving in the North Pole. The film’s cast also includes James Caan as Walter Hobbs, Edward Asner as Santa Claus, Zooey Deschanel as Jovie, Mary Steenburgen as Emily Hobbs, and legendary comedian Bob Newhart as Papa Elf, Buddy’s adoptive father.

The movie was directed by Jon Favreau, written by David Berenbaum, and produced and distributed by New Line Cinema. The film was such a critical and commercial success that it spawned a Broadway musical and the NBC’s 2014 stop motion animated television special Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas!  You may be wondering if there will be a sequel. According to reporting from The Wrap, chances for an Elf 2 are slim to none.
