Each of the central characters in Friends has their own distinct personality and traits, which is no exception for Ross Geller. Played by the hilarious David Schwimmer, Ross is a paleontologist who is known for his nerdy, yet endearing, personality, along with his awkwardness and intelligence. Despite his on-and-off romance with Rachel Green, Ross is also usually unlucky with his love life. But of course, fans can’t help but root for him to Rachel to make it in the end — which they do!

Ross and Rachel’s relationship is an iconic part about Friends and is widely regarded as one of the most beloved TV romances of all time.

Throughout the 10 seasons of Friends, Ross is depicted as insecure and sensitive, which leads to super funny situations, especially when his friends Joey and Chandler are involved. Friends fans love Ross for his comedic scenes as well as his heartfelt ones. He’s very caring and supportive of his loved ones, always there for his friends when they’re in need. He’s also a very loving father and genuinely tries to be the best one he can be.
