The 911 universe came together in a rewarding way in March 2026 for their first crossover event. Episode 12 of both first responder series participated in the event, with 911 starting and handing it over to 911: Nashville. All the storylines came together beautifully, but there are some I would have loved to see more of and others I can’t stop thinking about since I watched them.
Overall, I think they did a fabulous job on the crossover event by bringing our favorite first responders together to compete in the 51st annual firefighter game in Nashville, Tennessee. That's not to say there weren't some aspects of the crossover that didn't quite work.

What we loved about the 911 and 911: Nashville crossover
This was the perfect time to do a crossover event between the newest 911 universe show and the original. Combining Buck and Eddie with the Nashville Fire Department along with ones from other houses made the episode so special. Even though they were told to crush the competition, the firefighters bonded. It might have taken an emergency for them to see the other teams' talents, but they got there.
Not only did we see Nashville and LA work together in a real emergency, but they also helped the Carl (one with a K) team finish the last firefighter game round. Buck and Ryan put their differences aside and carried their fellow man across the finish line. They may be different, but they all want to do what is best for others. Although their crazy sides emerging to win was hilarious ("Nepo babies," comment and all), I loved their teamwork even more. Buck, Blue, Eddie, and Ryan really meshed when they saw each other as equals.
The events of the crossover as a whole wouldn't have been possible without the late Captain Bobby Nash entering Buck and Eddy a year prior. It warmed my heart that after all this time, Bobby was mentioned by not only his team but also Captain Hart.

The 911 and 911: Nashville crossover did have some shortcomings
Even the best of crossover episodes have cons. I feel that some storylines needed more time while others didn't quite fit into the event. It's not that these storylines were bad; it's more like they needed more time or to be moved somewhere else to be told better.
I would have loved for 911 to better explain Bobby's decision in entering Buck and Eddie into the games. Why did he pick them over everyone? Despite Eddie being in Texas, how did Bobby know he'd come back to the 118? Although we know Bobby knew people always come back to where they belong, how was he sure where Eddie would end up? It's all also a mystery and a flashback scene that should have happened, along with Don and Bobby meeting. I understand Nashville wasn't established yet when everything with Bobby happened, but a girl can dream.
There were also some storylines that needed more time or to be saved for a later episode.
Ravi and May's relationship needed more time because what do you mean Harry walks in on their sexy time? I needed more from that scene. More laughs and a dash of trauma from all involved would have done the trick. But I am glad Harry and May made up and that Harry made things right with Ravi. So at least there was closure on that end.
Maddie and Buck's parents' divorce storyline felt kind of rushed. Maybe that was the point so it would shock not only fans but also their kids. Since it was rushed, I felt it didn't fit into the crossover. It would have done well later in the season since their parents don't drop by a lot. Yet, when they do, they're annoucing a big life change? That storyline just didn't set right with me and felt out of place in the episode.
