It’s never a dull day for the 118, and the team will need to figure out how to deal with a contagion in 911 season 8, episode 14. This is a two-part episode, so don’t expect a resolution at the end of the episode. In fact, we’re sure to see a major, life-threatening cliffhanger.

This is all coming at the same time as the leaks of the funeral procession. Could this be the storyline that leads to this funeral? Will one of the 118 not make it out alive, or could it end up being a dream as a “what if” scenario?

How does the contagion start in 911 season 8, episode 14?

The promo makes it clear that there’s a situation at a lab. Maddie answers the 911 call, and she ends up sending out the 118 to deal with the situation. That’s when they learn that this lab is doing more than some clinical trials and testing. They’re focused on exotic diseases to find a cure for them.

These diseases are highly contagious, and there may not be a cure for them just yet. The lab is worried that the diseases will get out into the world, creating something similar to the pandemic that we’ve just been through.

That’s okay; the 118 can get it under control, right? Well, there’s an explosion, leading to various members of the team trapped inside the building. Buck is the only one outside with Athena, and Chimney doesn’t even have his oxygen mask on, which does hint that there could be some serious life-threatening situations going on.

Of course, this is 911, and we’re used to seeing these types of situations happen. Do we really think that the show will kill off a main character? So many have escaped death that I’m hoping that funeral procession is just Athena or Bobby worried about what could have happened after these events.
