Bad news fellow Abbott Elementary fans. If you were hoping to see a new episode of season 4 tonight, then unfortunately you'll be disappointed. That's because there is no new episode this evening. But thankfully, we do know exactly when the comedy returns to ABC!
The network didn't give a specific reason as to why it's skipping airing a new episode this week. Though with broadcast schedules, this is normal. There's many times when a series will go one, two, sometimes even three weeks before a new episode airs during the season. And networks will do this with both comedies and dramas, so nothing to worry about. Alright, so when will our favorite sitcom be back on our screens?
Abbott Elementary season 4 returns with a new episode on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025. The great news is that we won't miss the series too long. It's only taking a week off before gracing the small screen once again. As always, season 4 episode 15, "100th Day of School," airs at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. You can also stream on Hulu the next day.
Instead of the school-centric comedy tonight, ABC will be airing a rerun of Shifting Gears. That'll be season 1 episode 5, "Jimmy." And actually this week, the Tim Allen-lead sitcom also won't be airing a new episode either. It's breaks all around on the network this week it seems. But this is your chance to perhaps catch up on another sitcom while we wait for Abbott to be back.
There aren't any images or first-looks from the upcoming episode of Abbott Elementary just yet, but we do have an idea of what it's all about. With it being the 100th Day of School in the current academic year, Barbara's daughter arranges a surprise for her mother, per the synopsis.
Many schools take the opportunity to celebrate this milestone each year, so that will be fun to see. That's so cute! And it'll be nice to see Taylor again. We haven't in a while now. I wonder what this surprise could be.
Elsewhere, Melissa, Jacob, and Mr. Johnson "join forces to conduct a search party." Huh. What are they searching for? Did something of one of the student's go missing, or is this just the adults acting like children as they hilariously do sometimes? We'll find out soon enough!
