ABC has officially confirmed plans for not one, but TWO crossovers between 911 and 911: Nashville!
According to 911: Nashville showrunner Rashad Raisani, via TVLine, the first crossover will take place in episode 2 and involve a FaceTime call. When the Nashville crew encounters an event similar to one that Buck told them about, they will presumably reach out to him for advice.
The other crossover will take place sometime towards midseason and will involve 911: Nashville and a few fan favorites from 911: Lone Star. "That's in the works in a big way," Raisani teases.
The last crossover between 911 and 911: Nashville was a special two-hour event that took place in March.
In the special episodes, Buck and Eddie traveled to Nashville to compete in the national firefighting games against other stations. As the competition progressed, tensions flared between the 118 and 113, leading to full-blown fights. However, the tension was eventually quelled when an emergency forced the two crews to work together to help others.
But while the 113 managed to put aside their egos to work with their Californian colleagues, it remains to be seen how they will mesh with the Lone Star state's 126. It might depend on which characters from 911: Lone Star participate in the crossover.
If we're talking fan favorites, we might see "Tarlos" (T.K. and Carlos) travel down to Nashville for the midseason event. The couple was incredibly popular when Lone Star was on the air, and for good reason. As one of the show's only queer couples, Tarlos navigated many obstacles to be together, including internalized homophobia and addiction. But their love for each other remained consistent throughout the show's five-season run, creating a cult-like following for the couple's arc.
T.K. and Carlos are both first responders, so it would make sense for them to travel to Nashville in a professional capacity. There are plenty of ways that the writers could explain a paramedic and a police ranger from Texas traveling so far for business. That being said, T.K. and Carlos are now parents to T.K.'s little brother. Therefore, when the crossover takes place, they could be visiting Nashville on vacation and somehow get roped into an emergency.
However, Tarlos aren't the only 911: Lone Star characters who could appear on Nashville. According to TV Insider, Rob Lowe has also thrown his name into the ring.
Lowe even pitched his own potential return storyline involving a golf course and a flash flood.
Sounds chaotic!
