ABC followed suit after the other major television networks released their Fall 2026 television schedules, and 911 fans get ready to get excited! Along with 911: Nashville, the schedule has confirmed what ABC has planned in terms of the show’s placement for the next season.
Some of the most popular shows on the network were announced as being held for midseason to come back in 2027. Luckily, this is not the case for either 911 or 911: Nashville. Both shows will still air at their normal times on Thursday nights.

911 is going into its tenth season overall and fourth overall on ABC. It has been doing a decent job ratings-wise, so keeping its spot on Thursdays seems to be working for ABC. The season 9 finale aired on Thursday, May 7, and averaged a little over 4 million viewers.
The season 9 finale saw the team waiting for word on Athena Grant after she was shot while serving a warrant. As the team waited for news on her condition, a gunman arrived at the hospital, causing chaos and fear. Luckily, the team, despite being separated in various situations, was able to come together and save the day.
Season 10 will see multiple different stories, from Athena becoming a detective to her daughter, May Grant, moving forward in her nursing path, and Evan “Buck” Buckley fostering his biological son he helped his friends conceive. So we’re excited that it looks like the show will be in a position to stick to its spot on the Fall 2026 schedule.
911: Nashville is the third spinoff of the franchise and also finished its first season on May 7. On average, the show boasts around 3 million viewers, so it has also maintained a steady position for ABC. While it may not get the numbers its predecessor receives, ABC may have decided that keeping the show on the same schedule as 911 could help the second season bolster new numbers.
The season 1 finale of Nashville saw Blythe and Dixie’s animosity towards each other finally reach its crescendo with an all-out brawl. Fans will have to wait until season 2 to find out if Dixie will be alright. However, showrunner Rashad Raisani did tease how she will fare after this fight.
Now fans will have to wait to find out when the shows will actually return, but hopefully we will get the premieres earlier than October, which was the case for the 2025 season. That all depends on how many episodes the newest seasons will receive.
We will keep you updated on when 911 and 911: Nashville are due to return in Fall 2026. For now, you can rewatch the latest seasons on Hulu during the summer hiatus.
