There’s some terrible news for Brilliant Minds fans tonight. There isn’t a new episode on Monday, Dec. 16.
Of course, the show isn’t canceled. At least, not yet. This break is for a good reason, and we do know when the show will return with new episodes. We even have some ideas as to what’s going to happen when the series does return.
Brilliant Minds has aired its last episode of 2024
The previous episode was a big one, and it probably isn’t surprising to learn that it was the last episode of 2024. Brilliant Minds season 1, episode 11 was the fall finale.
All networks take some time off from their regular schedules this time of year. It’s when the linear ratings take a dip as people spend time with family or go out for work events or local events. There’s a lot going on, especially with people doing some last-minute shopping.
So, the networks opt for reruns and holiday programming. NBC will have a night of Christmas music, starting with Big Little Town’s Christmas at the Opry and then ending with Michael Buble's Christmas in the City.
When will Brilliant Minds return with new episodes?
There are still some episodes to do, and we’ll get to see the series back in 2025. NBC has set the date for Monday, Jan. 6. It will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT as usual.
This isn’t a long break at all. In fact, it’s the shortest among all the networks. The first full week of January is a big week for NBC’s shows returning, and Brilliant Minds gets to kick it all off.
The series is sure to pick up off the back of that shocking cliffhanger at the end of the fall finale. Ericka’s building has collapsed. Ericka and two others were in the elevator at the time, and this may help to keep them alive for some time. However, that’s only if people realize that they are trapped there. Eventually, they’re sure to run out of oxygen!
Ericka has been the least tested in terms of personal storylines this season out of all four interns. Well, it’s time for that to change, and how will she cope while in the elevator—and what type of medical issue will she need to handle while in there? There’s sure to be something!
