Carver's reaction to Tori was weak in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 5
When it comes to Sam Carver, his storyline with Violet and Tori is getting old in Chicago Fire. The latest episode made it clear that he is rather weak when it comes to personal relationships.
Caution: This post contains some SPOILERS for Chicago Fire season 13, episode 5.
The new episode saw what should have been the big blow up between Carver and Tori. He learned about the deleted text messages, and he even confronted her at the end. There was clearly some anger that he felt, and yet, when Tori walked into the room, he did little.
Carver knows Violet better than this in Chicago Fire
Carver knows Violet well. The two have worked together for a couple of years now, and they were sleeping with each other for some of that time. Carver will have also heard about the type of person Violet is from those in the firehouse.
When Tori claimed that Violet was manipulating him, Carver should have immediately argued back. He knows that this wouldn’t be in Violet’s nature. Plus, if she really wanted to manipulate him, she isn’t doing a great job of that.
In fact, Carver is the one leading these two women on. He lied to Tori about where he was going, and he couldn’t give Tori an answer about why he ended up at Molly’s for Violet’s birthday. He ended up there because he wanted to be. It had nothing to do with Violet.
Carver needs to end this relationship now in Chicago Fire
I always say that if someone is accusing a person of something without any proof, they’re likely projecting. A woman like Tori is definitely projecting. She wants Carver to believe that Violet is manipulating him because she’s manipulating him.
It’s time for Carver to put all the pieces together. He saw that Tori deleted the text, and she didn’t even apologize. She came up with some sort of excuse for doing it. This is a woman who doesn’t trust her man, and she’ll just end up creating a toxic environment for Carver. If he can’t man up with Tori, then he needs to leave Firehouse 51 before he makes the working environment hostile for Violet.
