Another major crossover event between Fire Country and Sheriff Country has been set at CBS!
The two-part event, premiering on Nov. 6 on CBS, will begin with an hour of Sheriff Country at 8 pm, followed by an hour of Fire Country at 9 pm.
It'll open in Sheriff Country with a dangerous prison break that quickly escalates into a hostage crisis that will challenge Mickey to make some high-stakes decisions that will have personal consequences that could change the course of the case and put lives on the line. The hour will feature three guest stars from Fire Country with Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, and Jules Latimer guest starring.
The action will then continue in Fire Country when escaped convicts trigger a dangerous manhunt, leading to Bode and Station 42 teaming up with Mickey and her deputies to protect the community. While only three stars from Fire Country will crossover into Sheriff Country for the opening of the crossover, we'll see several stars from Sheriff Country appear in the closing hour of the two-part event, with Morena Baccarin, Matt Lauria, Michele Weaver, Amanda Arcuri, and Ian Quinlan all slated to appear in the episode.
In an interview with Deadline, Sheriff Country showrunner and executive producer Matthew Lopez offered details on what fans can expect from the upcoming crossover.
"What we’ll see is Mickey and Manny figure very, very heavily," he revealed. "There’s a situation that arises on the day of a spectacular windstorm and fire event. There are also escaped convicts on the loose. There are resources required both from 42 in the Fire Country Universe and from the ESCO (Edgewater County Sheriff’s Office) in the Sheriff Country Universe. There’s this real push and pull, and as leaders of these particular incidents, Mickey and Manny will have to figure out how to navigate this, and there are personal stakes involved."
Lopez also teased some large-scale practical effects, saying, "[The crossover] feels really, really big. I was over in Vancouver for the Fire Country portion of the shoot, and some very experienced Fire Country crew members who have been there for all five seasons were like, 'We’ve never tried to do shit like this before.'" He added, "We did some really cool practical stuff."
The two-episode event will be the second official crossover between Fire Country and Sheriff Country. Both shows have had casual interactions before, but only one major event. The first crossover, which aired in April 2026, saw Edgewater's first responders work to rescue nine missing children after a dangerous explosion.
Season 5 of Fire Country and season 2 of Sheriff Country will premiere Friday, Oct. 9, on CBS.
