We don’t know a lot about Kidd’s family, but we’re about to see her cousin come to town in the new episode. This brings some surprising news about family history. Is it something that means Kidd is going to search for who she really is? If it’s not something scary medically related, then it’s surely something to do with a family member lying about how they’re related to people.
However, Kidd has something else she wants to discuss. She now wants to start a family with Severide. He brought this up at the end of Chicago Fire season 12, but the conversation was abandoned. Severide made it clear that this would be Kidd’s choice as it changes more for her than him. Well, she’s ready for that change.

Meanwhile, Herrmann, who is struggling to deal with what life will be like for him as he becomes Chief, is dealing with a case of missing fire hydrants. I have a lot of questions about this. How do people steal fire hydrants? And why would they even want to?
Well, it’s making the life of firefighters difficult, and Herrmann wants to get to the bottom of it. Kylie is back as she helps him figure out where these fire hydrants are going.
